Loren was born and raised in France. Her love for languages has always broadened her curiosity and inherently been linked to her passion for traveling. At twenty, she embarked on her first immersive linguistic journey at University College London, in the UK through the Erasmus Program via Paris Sorbonne University. Since that moment, she has chased her curiosities across disciplines of study as well as across the globe, living in different countries: Brazil, South Korea, and the United States.

In 2015, after spending a year as an international student at Smith College in Northampton, she took a break from her studies to discover the world outside of the academic sphere. She moved to São Paulo, Brazil for a year as an au pair, caring for two young children in a Brazilian-Italian family. This experience, in addition to her previous years of babysitting, taught her to adapt to each child’s needs and build trust by fostering and encouraging a safe and supportive environment. It heightened her joy for working with children and she is thrilled to fully experience this path again as a Teacher at ABS.

Beyond childcare, she also earned a master’s degree in Ethics, Ecology and Sustainable Development in Lyon, France. Most recently, she trained to be a bike mechanic in Grenoble, France after she did her first bike touring trip with her friend from Portland to San Francisco in July 2022. Cycling, along with her love for languages and traveling, has made her the boldest version of herself. Biking continuously nurtures life lessons, such as patience, vulnerability, confidence and resilience.

It is with this wholesome mindset that Loren is dedicated to giving her best every day to support the growth, well-being, and curiosity of her students.
