At ABS French Preschool, we provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating French Immersion environment where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively.
Our curriculum is inspired by the French Éducation Nationale Preschool Program, thoughtfully blended with California early childhood best practices, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Discipline, and hands-on enrichment.
Inspired by the official French National Education curriculum, we provide a nurturing environment that supports each child’s development through daily routines and play.
Focuses on helping young children feel safe, understood, and connected, while they begin to understand themselves and others.
Each child receives personalized care and guidance that respects their individual developmental needs, interests, and pace of growth.
Exploring through art, crafts, music, dance, cooking, gardening, and gentle yoga, sparking curiosity and creativity every day.
Every play area is shaded to protect children from hot days, and all structures are age-appropriate with soft and safe surfacing to ensure a secure and nurturing environment.
Our Mountain Campus features cozy class sizes, welcoming 10 to 15 students per classroom, depending on room size. Each class is guided by 2 teachers (or 3 teachers for our youngest group of 15 students), allowing for individualized attention and strong teacher-student relationships.
Our outdoor environment at the ABS Mountain Campus is a spacious, nature-filled playground designed to encourage movement, exploration, and hands-on learning. Surrounded by vegetable planters, fruit trees, mature trees, and our beloved chicken coop, the space offers children a beautiful and stimulating setting where nature becomes part of their daily experience.
At the heart of the playground is a large, age-appropriate play structure featuring slides and elements that promote gross motor development, coordination, and confidence. Our play areas include a large sand box, bikes and Ride-Ons, and construction materials.
Every outdoor space is designed with child safety in mind, featuring shaded play zones to protect children from warm days, secure climbing structures, developmentally appropriate equipment.
A shaded and covered outdoor eating space allows children to enjoy meals and snacks outside while also serving as a comfortable area for group activities and special events.
The playground is surrounded by vegetable planters where children participate in gardening activities throughout the year. Alongside our fruit trees and chicken coop, children learn responsibility, empathy, and practical STEM skills through real-life experiences caring for plants and animals.
At ABS Mountain Campus, our indoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
Our school provides a cozy space for group discussions, stories, and daily SEL routines, an activity area, a construction & dramatic play area, and a library.
Our classrooms are bright and welcoming, designed with natural lighting, soft tones, and comfortable rugs that create a calm and nurturing atmosphere. The environment promotes focus, independence, creativity, and positive social interaction.
Our library is central to our curriculum. Our students can borrow a book weekly to share at home, fostering language development and family bonding. This is a dedicated space that reinforces our strong literacy focus and monthly thematic learning.
Books are at the heart of our curriculum. Each month, children explore a new theme introduced through French literature. From these stories, we develop interconnected activities.
